Zapier Date and Times and End Times

Setting up apps like Google Calendar to connect with OrbisX will require things like end times and specific date formats in order to work as expected. The good news is it’s a lot easier than you think :) To make dates consistent across apps, Zapier encourages the use of timezone formatted dates that area  special field containing the date, time and the timezone offset. These special fields are returned by OrbisX as well as other apps you want to connect with in Zapier. Similarly, when it’s time to set the end time you will need a date/time but this can cause inconsistent results with many apps out there so Zapier has created a great solution with the date/time modifiers that allow you to add/subtract time from a start date. See below for steps and instructions on both date/time settings and how to set end times with modifiers.
Date & Time
With Google they require a time zone date time format which usually has a T in it and labeled as Date and TIme.  See this screenshot.
End Time
With Zapier, end times use the time adjustment/multiplier functions. Since every app handles time and dates differently, this allows the most compatibility across apps. So in this case for Google Calendar, what you would do for the end time is put in the same field as the Start Date/Time with the timezone field as in the screenshot and then put a space with a “+” sign then add the Duration (minutes) field from OrbisX and then put an “m” after this field.
The result should look like this for example:
See this page for more info on setting up date/time modifiers and adjustments in Zapier since you can do a lot more than just setting an end time for an event. You can add, subtract time and soo much more.
