hyperClean Growth Program — How It Works

Why we built it

Many shops don’t offer ceramic coatings today because they think it takes certification, hours of specialized training, and a big upfront investment in product inventory. hyperClean removes all three of those blockers. Their coatings are engineered for easy application (a good detailer can pick it up in an afternoon), we send your installer a walkthrough video with every purchase, and your shop never has to buy inventory — hyperClean ships direct-to-shop on a per-order basis.

The goal: give every shop on OrbisX a hands-off way to add ceramic coating revenue on top of the appointments they’re already booking, with zero risk to your cash flow.

How it works, step by step

1. Luna (our AI) does the pitching for you. For every eligible upcoming appointment, Luna sends a customized SMS + email to the customer offering a hyperClean coating that fits their vehicle and service. We’re running A/B message variants, and Luna keeps learning — over time she’ll get sharper about which coating to pitch to which customer profile for the best conversion.

2. The customer sees a “save 40%” package deal. The customer is shown an anchored regular price with the actual price marked as 40% off — the “package” combines the coating and your professional application. They see exactly what breaks down as pay-today (the coating) vs pay-at-appointment (your application fee) so there are no surprises.

3. Customer locks in the deal by paying for the coating today. They pay OrbisX for the coating up front — this is what “secures” the special price. The application fee is left to be paid at the appointment.

4. hyperClean ships the coating directly to your shop. The order goes straight to hyperClean with your shop’s name, shipping address, and contact email (in case anything about the fulfillment needs your attention). They ship it out overnight. Your installer also gets a short walkthrough video with the shipping confirmation so they know exactly how to apply it.

5. Your application fee is auto-added to the appointment. When the customer arrives, the application shows up:

  • As a line item on the appointment’s invoice (added automatically — if the invoice doesn’t exist yet, it drops in the moment you create one).
  • As an entry in your Marketing → Upsells catalog under a “hyperClean:” prefix. This entry is auto-managed and hidden from your public booking form by default (you don’t need to touch it).
  • The event is tagged “hyperClean Upsell” on your calendar so you can spot it at a glance.
  • You receive an email a few days ahead of the appointment confirming the coating is on its way.

6. You do the application, keep 100% of the fee. Whatever install price you set for this product (customized per shop) is yours. The coating margin sits with hyperClean and OrbisX — you don’t buy any inventory, you don’t handle any of that. Just apply, invoice, and collect.

What you actually keep

  • 100% of the application fee you set for the product installation.
  • Zero product cost — no bottles to buy, no shelf space, no stale stock although we do recommend using hyperClean for your chemicals and products – it’s a great idea to keep inventory on hand too!

About the messaging

When are messages sent? Right now Luna pitches 48 hours before the appointment via SMS + email, then sends a 24-hour reminder nudge via SMS if the customer hasn’t acted. Timing will be tuned as we collect data — if conversions are better at 72h, we’ll shift.

Which customers get pitched? Only customers who match all of the following for the appointment in question:

  • Appointment is 48–72 hours out.
  • Service (or a package) matches one of the eligible categories for the coating.
  • Customer’s vehicle year meets the coating’s minimum.
  • Customer hasn’t declined a hyperClean pitch in the last 60 days.
  • Customer hasn’t already purchased the same coating in the last 2 years.
  • Customer has an email and phone on file.

Can I turn pitching off for a specific customer? Yes — a customer can opt out at any time via a decline link in the email, and it holds for 60 days. If you know a customer doesn’t want it, ask them to click “I’m not interested” on any offer link. Repeated pitches to that customer will stop.

Can I offer this manually to customers who didn’t get an auto-pitch? Not yet — everything runs through the automated pitch flow. This may come later based on feedback. You can of course always upsell customers hyperClean coatings and manually add this to your appointments and invoices. Their products are easy to upsell and even easier to install/apply.

What A/B variants are being tested? Two message variants (bold benefit-first vs softer nudge). Luna tracks which converts better and OrbisX keeps refining copy over time.

About pricing & payment

Who sets the application price? You do — for each product you enable, you set your own install price on the panel. hyperClean sets the retail (coating) price; OrbisX handles the checkout.

Do I need to pay hyperClean anything? No. The customer pays OrbisX for the coating up front. OrbisX pays hyperClean on the backend as part of our partnership. Your only job is to apply and invoice for your fee.

What if the customer cancels or asks for a refund? OrbisX handles the refund on the coating side. Your application fee doesn’t change hands until you apply, so if the customer no-shows or cancels, you don’t need to do anything about the payment — it just doesn’t apply.

Is the “40% off” real? It’s a positioning device — the anchored “regular price” is a fictitious benchmark used across the industry to help customers act. The actual price the customer pays is your coating retail + your application fee, exactly as displayed.

About the shipment

When does hyperClean ship? As soon as the order goes through (right after the customer pays), we send it to their fulfillment queue. Ships within 24 hours on ground/overnight depending on distance to your shop.

What if the appointment is too close for shipping? The offer link auto-blocks itself inside 24 hours of the appointment to prevent orders that can’t arrive in time. Customers who click in that window see a “sorry, too close to your appointment” message instead of a checkout page.

What’s the address hyperClean uses to reach me? The contact email and shipping address you filled in during enrollment. Update these anytime in Settings → hyperClean → Growth Opportunities.

What if the customer reschedules their appointment after paying? If it moves more than 48h out, no impact. If it moves inside 48h from when they paid, we email you an alert so you can check whether the coating will arrive in time — you can call the customer if you want to bump their appointment.

About the application

Do I need certification to apply hyperClean coatings? No. hyperClean’s coatings are designed to be applied by any competent detailer with normal prep skills. Every order includes a short installer walkthrough video sent to your shop email — your applicator watches it once and they’re set.

How long does a typical application take? Depends on the product and vehicle, but generally 1.5–3 hours per vehicle including prep. The block time on the auto-added upsell defaults to 120 minutes so it slots cleanly into your day.

What if I’ve never done a ceramic coating before? You’ll pick it up. The included video walks through the exact hyperClean process end-to-end. If you want extra reps, watch the video ahead of your first appointment and dry-run the prep on a test panel.

About what shows up in OrbisX

How do I know a customer bought a coating? Three ways:

  1. The event on your calendar gets an orange “hyperClean Upsell” tag.
  2. You get an install-ready email confirming the order + linking the walkthrough video.
  3. The application shows as a line item on the appointment’s invoice and a row in your Marketing → Upsells catalog (auto-hidden from your public booking form).

What appears on the customer’s invoice? Only the application fee — the coating charge is on OrbisX’s separate receipt to them. Your invoice reads normally, like any other appointment upsell.

Where do I see my hyperClean revenue? On the hyperClean Stats page (from the Growth Opportunities panel, click “View performance”), which shows install revenue for the last 30 days and all time, plus your pitch → conversion funnel.

Will the “hyperClean:” upsell row appear on my booking form? No — auto-managed rows are created with the “Hidden from booking form” flag set. They live in your upsells catalog as reference, but customers never see them on your booking flow.

About Test Mode vs Live

What’s Test Mode? The state you’re in right after enrolling. In Test Mode, Luna doesn’t send real pitches to your customers; the whole flow can be exercised with a test customer via the “Try it end-to-end” button on your enrollment panel so you can see every message and every side effect without any real money moving.

When am I ready to go Live? When you’ve (a) completed your shipping address, (b) picked which products to offer + set your install prices, and (c) previewed the flow at least once via the “Try it end-to-end” button. Then you flip the status dropdown from Test Mode to Live.

What happens the moment I go Live? Luna starts pitching your eligible upcoming appointments on her next 15-minute cron cycle. You’ll typically see your first pitch fire within the hour if you have appointments 48–72h out.

Can I pause without unenrolling? Yes — set the status to “Paused” in the panel. In-flight orders still complete; no new pitches go out until you flip back to Live.

About regional availability

Is this available in Canada? Not yet — the beta ships from the US only. Canadian shops can enroll in Test Mode to explore the panel, but the Live toggle is blocked until we add CA fulfillment. We’ll let you know as soon as it’s live.
