Seamless SMS Messaging with OrbisX & Twilio
OrbisX integrates with Twilio so you can send automated and conversational messages to your customers with a affordable SMS and MMS pricing. All you need is an account with Twilio so that you have API access to send and receive SMS/MMS messages through the OrbisX platform. Setup is simple and can be done in 10-15 minutes. There is a video below in Step 3 that shows you how to get everything setup in no time.
Step 1: Signup for a Twilio Account
Setup is simple and fast. Twilio offers a reliable and affordable SMS service that works smooth as butter with OrbisX.
Step 2: A2P 10DLC Registration (US Customers)
A2P 10DLC stands for Application-to-Person messaging using a 10-Digit Long Code phone number. Translation: it means you’re using software technology to send text messages using a local phone number.
Businesses need to register their A2P 10DLC numbers with mobile carriers before sending messages. Any 10DLC numbers not properly registered with TCR will be blocked by carriers, preventing message delivery. This process is a requirement in the US and some other jurisdictions in the ongoing effort to combat spam messaging.
Fortunately, with Twilio it’s a relatively easy process that just sounds scary – don’t worry it’s not and the Twilio support team can help with your campaign registration as well.
All Campaign approvals are subject to a vetting process. A2P 10DLC registration can take 1-7 business days for standard use cases. Please account for this approval time when planning your registration.
